TMI Celebrates Culture of Safety on National Work Zone Awareness Week
Traffic Management, Inc. Honors Go Orange Day with 2,000 Employees Nationwide.
As a company that is Serious About Safety all year long, Traffic Management, Inc. (TMI®) is proud to acknowledge National Work Zone Awareness Week (April 11-15, 2022) at each of our 40 branches.
TMI kicked off the week with Safety Standdown events at each of our branches, emphasizing how critical it is to work safely in and around work zones. Throughout the week, employees were encouraged to send in Safety Suggestions and sign safety banners, explaining why work safety is important to them.
Employees were also encouraged to send in selfies wearing orange in support of Go Orange Day on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The neon orange color associated with the Construction Industry is designed to create higher visibility in and around the job sites. By wearing orange on Go Orange Day, employees are able to show their support for Work Zone Safety.
TMI’s overall mission is to keep our customers, our employees and the communities we serve safe. Traffic Controllers (in fact all staff) attend a multi-day classroom and field training course before setting foot on any project. Training on all levels is critical to TMI's success. All employees are trained in ATSSA/MUTCD requirements – in addition to TMI’s proprietary training program, which focuses on situational awareness (JSAs), Safety Communication and Incident Reporting.
